ARTHUR W. CURLEY, ESQ.
Mr. Curley is a senior trial attorney in the San Francisco based health care defense firm of Bradley, Curley, Asiano, Barrabee & Gale, P.C.. After graduating from UC Berkeley with honors in 1970, he obtained his JD in 1974 from the University of California, Hastings School of Law in San Francisco and is currently an Assistant Professor of Dental Jurisprudence at the Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry in San Francisco. As a trial attorney he has been defending doctors for over 30 years and has given risk management courses throughout the United States. He is an associate of the American Board of Trial Advocates. Mr. Curley has published several articles on risk management and authored chapters in text books: Babbush (Implants), Peterson (Oral Surgery), Cohen (Endodontics) and Block (Implants).
Douglas L. Chenin, DDS
Dr. Chenin earned his DDS degree from the University of the Pacific Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry in San Francisco. Dr. Chenin is the Director of Clinical Affairs at Anatomage Inc., the company that created the InVivoDental 3D Imaging Software, the AnatoModel Service, and also the EasyGuide Implant Software, which it licenses to Keystone Dental Inc. He is involved in all aspects of research and development of the company's 3D technology. He regularly teaches continuing education courses with Anatomage's advanced 3D software to doctors and dental auxiliaries at both beginning and advance levels. He is involved in facilitating and participating in research projects throughout multiple dental schools across the nation. Dr. Chenin is also Adjunct Faculty at the University of the Pacific Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry in the Orthodontics Department, where he teaches residents how to use 3D imaging to its fullest potential for both clinical and research applications.

The use of Cone Beam CT machines for dental applications provides new diagnostic possibilities, virtual treatment planning, and custom manufacturing of therapeutic devices. Scott D. Ganz, DMD
Prosthodontics, Maxillofacial Prosthetics & Implant Dentistry
Dr. Scott D. Ganz graduated from the University of Medicine and Dentistry - New Jersey Dental School. He completed a three-year specialty program in Maxillofacial Prosthetics at M.D. Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas. Dr. Ganz is well-published in various scientific and professional journals ( over 50 articles ). He has delivered presentations both nationally and internationally on the Prosthetic and Surgical phases of Implant Dentistry and is considered one of the world's leading experts in the field of Computer Utilization for Diagnostic, Graphical, and Treatment Planning Applications in Dentistry. Dr. Ganz has been a featured speaker for numerous organizations including the Academy of Osseointegration, American Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, The American Academy of Maxillofacial Prosthetics, The International Congress of Oral Implantologists, The American College of Prosthodontists, The American Academy of Implant Dentistry, The European Academy of Osseointegration, and The American Society of Osseointegration. He currently serves as Assistant Editor for the peer-reviewed journal, Implant Dentistry and the editorial staff of Practical Procedures and Esthetic Dentistry.
Dr. Ganz's book, “An Illustrated Guide to Understanding Dental Implants” available in both English and Spanish, has received wide acclaim as the standard in patient education texts, and has sold worldwide in over fifteen countries. Dr. Ganz is on the Implant Faculty of many preceptorship programs around the country, is on the staff of Hackensack University Medical Center, past faculty of the University of Pennsylvania Dental School, and presently on faculty at New Jersey Dental School. Dr. Ganz has served as a consultant for numerous companies involved with dental implants, imaging, and the high technology arena for the past fifteen years. Dr. Ganz is a Past President of the N.J. Section of the American College of Prosthodontists and maintains a private practice for Prosthodontics, Maxillofacial Prosthetics, and Implant Dentistry in New Jersey, USA. Dr. David Hatcher, DDS
Dr. Hatcher received his D.D.S. degree from the University of Washington in 1973. Subsequently he completed two years of active duty in the U.S. Public Health Service and a one year general practice residency program at the University of Vermont Medical Center. Following three years as an instructor and one year as active director of the general practice residency program and the hospital dental clinic at the University of Washington, Dr. Hatcher the graduate program in radiology at the University of Toronto and was granted a specialty in Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology in 1982 and an M.Sc. in 1983. His thesis topic dealt with radiology of mandibular dysfunction.
Richard Monahan, DDS, MS, JD
Dr. Monahan received his radiology training at The University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. He is currently director of radiology at The University of Illinois College of Dentistry and team member of The Craniofacial Institute at the Medical College. Dr. Monahan is on the medical staff of Shriners Hospital for Children and University of Illinois Hospital. He has lectured/ published nationally/internationally on all aspects of maxillofacial imaging. He is an attorney who has published/lectured extensively on malpractice law. Dr. Monahan is associate professor at The University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio and Professor Emeritus at Northwestern University. He has presented over 500 hours of continuing education. He is board certified in Maxillofacial Radiology.
Peter K. Moy, DMD
Dr. Moy received his dental degree from the University of Pittsburgh, a certificate in General Practice Residency from Queen’s Medical Center in Honolulu, Hawaii and a certificate in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery from UCLA Hospital. He limits his practice to Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, focusing on surgical aspects of Implant Dentistry and reconstruction of the severely atrophic alveolar ridge. A Professor in the Department of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at UCLA, he is also Director of Implant Dentistry, as well as, the Straumann Surgical Dental Center and Nobel Biocare Surgical Fellow Program. He belongs to several professional organizations including the American Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons, American Academy of Esthetic Dentistry, a Fellow of Pierre Fauchard Academy and the Academy of Osseointegration, where he currently serves as Vice President. He is an associate editor for the International Journal of Oral & Maxillofacial Implants and reviewing editor for International Journal of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery, Clinical Implant Dentistry & Related Research and Oral Surgery, Oral Medicine, Oral Pathology, Oral Radiology and Endodontology. He has written numerous articles and book chapters on surgical augmentation procedures, management of medically compromised implant patients, use of rhBMP-2 for maxillary sinuses and immediate loading of dental implants. He has lectured extensively nationally and internationally, most recently at the Toronto Conference, Revisited in Canada, celebrating the 25 th Anniversary of PI Brånemark’s introduction of Osseointegration to North America. Dr. Moy maintains his private practice in West Coast Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Center in Brentwood, California.
Ed Lin , D.D.S.
Dr. Ed Lin is a full-time practicing orthodontist and is one of four partners at Orthodontic Specialists of Green Bay (OSGB), a private group practice in Green Bay, WI. OSGB is a completely digital practice and they have made the transition into the 3-D world in orthodontics. There are 3 specific technologies that have given their practice the capabilities of making this major transition: Dolphin Imaging, SureSmile, and ICAT. OSGB is also responsible for working together with both SureSmile and Imaging Sciences in creating SureSmile wires generated off of the ICAT scan. In fact, these SureSmile generated ICAT wires are only the 2 nd dental appliance that have ever been utilized for active patient care!!! Dr. Lin will share his practice’s experience with the benefits of 3-D imaging in regards to diagnostics and therapeutic patient care.
Michael A. Pikos, DMD
Dr. Michael A. Pikos is originally from Campbell, Ohio. He attended The Ohio State University where he graduated Summa Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa. He also graduated with honors from The Ohio State University College of Dentistry. Dr. Pikos completed residency training in Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Pittsburgh, Montefiore Hospital.
He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Diplomate of the American Board of Oral Implantology/Implant Dentistry, Diplomate of The International Congress of Oral Implantologists.
He is an Adjunct Assistant Professor, Department of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery at the following institutions: The Ohio State University, College of Dentistry, the University of Miami, School of Medicine, and Nova Southeastern University, College of Dental Medicine. He is also a Courtesy Clinical Associate Professor, Department of Periodontology, at the University of Florida, College of Dentistry.
Dr. Pikos has extensive experience in implant surgery and hard and soft tissue grafting procedures. He emphasizes interactive CT technology along with foundational principles of prosthetics and biomechanics that dictate the ultimate success of comprehensive implant rehabilitation.
He is a well published author who has lectured extensively on dental implants in North and South America, Europe, and the Middle East. Since 1990, Dr. Pikos has been teaching an Advanced Bone Grafting course with alumni that now more than 2000, and have come from all 50 states as well as 27 countries. Dr. Pikos maintains a private practice in Palm Harbor, Florida which is limited exclusively to implant surgery.
Kathleen Roth, D.D.S.
Immediate ADA Past President
Kathleen Roth, a dentist in general practice in West Bend, Wisconsin, is Immediate Past President of the American Dental Association.
Dr. Roth completed her term as the President of the ADA in October 2007. Prior to this, Dr. Roth served a four-year term on the ADA Board of Trustees as Ninth District trustee. She also served on the ADA Council on Membership and Communications and, when that council was divided, as vice-chair of the Council on Membership. She served on an ADA task force on education for dental hygienists, another task force on accreditation of international dental schools, and as an ADA delegate.
Dr. Roth is a past president of the Wisconsin Dental Association and the Washington Ozaukee Dental Society, a component of the WDA. She chaired the Workforce Study for Dentistry in Wisconsin for three years and has chaired the Wisconsin Dental Association-Milwaukee Brewers “5 th Grade Smokeless Tobacco Education Program” since 1999. In addition, she is vice-chair of the National Foundation of Dentistry for the Handicapped-Wisconsin Donated Dental Services Program.
Dr. Roth is a graduate of the Marquette University School of Dentistry and has remained active on an advisory council, committees and subcommittees of her alma mater, which honored her with a Dental Community Service Award in April 2005. Her other honors include being a fellow of the International and American Colleges of Dentists, a member of the Pierre Fauchard Academy and the Honorary OKU fraternity.
Dr. Brian Young, D.D.S.
Dr. Young is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Dentistry, where he earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. Dr. Young is a graduate of the University of Florida where he earned his Master of Science and a certificate in Periodontics. Dr. Young is a full-time periodontist involved in a progressive periodontal, dental implant, and bone regenerative practice at Jacksonville Periodontics and Implant Dentistry.
Dr. Young is founder and clinical director of the Institute for Guided Implant Surgery. Dr. Young has unique training in techniques involving minimally invasive computer guided dental implant surgery. He has been involved with research and development of software and clinical protocols for guided surgery technologies. In addition, Dr. Young has produced unique training and education programs with both Keystone Dental and Nobel Biocare. Dr. Young lectures nationally and internationally to dentists, surgeons, dental auxiliary, and laboratory technicians about implementation and integration of guided implant surgery into the private practice setting.
David Way, D.D.S.
Dr. Way is in private practice of orthodontics in Ft. Collins, CO. He integrated the iCAT CBCT technology into his initial examinations in November of 2005. He utilizes this CBCT/ 3D directed diagnosis to improve treatment outcomes for every patient. Dr. Way is a board certified orthodontist with a special interest in orthognathic surgery, obstructive sleep apnea and the promotion of long term periodontal health through appropriate orthodontic treatment.
